The Open Group publications catalog lists the current TOGAF Standard, 10th
Edition material and any published corrigenda. Consult it when exact normative
wording or the latest correction matters.

## Structure of the 10th Edition

The 10th Edition has a modular structure:

1. **TOGAF Fundamental Content** contains enduring core concepts and practices.
2. **TOGAF Series Guides** contain detailed guidance on applying and configuring
   those concepts for particular topics and contexts.

The Fundamental Content covers:

- introduction and core concepts;
- the Architecture Development Method;
- ADM techniques;
- applying the ADM;
- architecture content;
- Enterprise Architecture capability and governance.

The Series Guides catalog includes practitioner guidance for topics such as
business capabilities, value streams, business scenarios, information mapping,
security and risk, enterprise agility, digital enterprise, architecture project
management, maturity, roles and skills, microservices, and reference models.
The catalog can grow more frequently than the stable core.

## Related Open Group standards

- [ArchiMate](https://www.opengroup.org/archimate-forum/archimate-overview) is an
  open modeling language for describing and visualizing architecture. TOGAF does
  not require ArchiMate, but the two are complementary.
- [Open Agile Architecture](https://www.opengroup.org/openagilearchitecture) is
  guidance for architecture in digital and Agile contexts.

## How this handbook uses sources

This handbook:

- paraphrases concepts for education and practical use;
- adds original examples, checklists, and templates;
- favors the 10th Edition structure;
- notes 9.x concepts when they remain widely encountered;
